Complex sentence

I really want to share this with you because I love sharing with you guys.

Complex sentences are important for me to use so that I can get to the next level in my writing. I went to a workshop to help me get it done.

Math Task week 1

This is my math task and it took a day for me to do it. It was hard but then it got easy then hard. It was a really fun math task. I really like doing this learning task.

I was learning how to estimate and then measure accurately. It is an important skill.

And we are doing three little pigs

I am going to be brick house and the straw house

She is going to be stick house and the wolf and we might change it to a cat so there will be twist to it.

MATERIALS                     

Stick house: we are going to use the little sticks or iceblock sticks

We are using popsicle sticks for the straw house

Shapes for the brick house    

How we are making the puppets

We are using eyes that stick

Glue to stick nose down

We will need black paper for the nose

Instead of the wolf, it is going to be a cat.
We are going to us white paper for the whiskers
Light pink paper for the nose.

Reading task: butterflies

This is my reading task. I want to share this with you because I want to share it and it is about butterfly's life, and I like how I put it together.

Flag Task

New Zealand is in the middle of deciding if we need a new flag or not.

Read this story and decide which flag you think represents our country the best.

Write a justified opinion explaining your view.

Success Criteria

• States which flag you like the most
• Gives at least 3 reasons to explain your thought
• Best possible spelling and punctuation
• Topic specific vocabulary

The old New Zealand is not looking like UnIon Jack Flag.

The new flag looks better than the old flag and everyone should vote for the new flag because it supports all of New Zealand  because it is nice looking.

It is better looking, it stands out and it supports New Zealand.  

Camp/Omatua/Weka

Last week we went to camp but first I did not stay the night because  I did not feel like going to stay but I came out for the days. The first day on Wednesday was so fun  because we had to go to the park but we had activities.  They were fun. Then we got to go out to the camp then I went home. Then on Thursday,  we went out to camp and we went out to Weka. Then we did a rotation and then it was time for the fun part. It was the river walk because we got to go on a tube. Me, Mitch and Cameron, we hopped on it and when we got  to a log and we went over, it popped!  Then we got up to a deep deep part, we did not know it was coming and we got soaked. It was a 4km walk but it did not feel like a 4k walk. It was really fun.

Swimming sports

Yesterday  I had swimming sports and I felt really scared. When it was year 5 girls we got put in lines and I was in line 2 and when it was line 2 up. I was getting ready to look down and dive into the pool, when Miss Hill said "On your marks." When she blew her whistle we dived right in and did freestyle all the way to the end.  I thought that I would come last but I got faster and faster. When I got up I looked around and I saw every one coming up to finish.  I came first place. I looked at my self and said in my head "Wow I am so proud of me!"  Then it was time for backstroke. I  jumped in and came first place again! Then it was freestyle finals. I came 2 or third. Then it was time for breaststroke and I came 2 in that! Then it was time for Backstroke finals and I came 2nd. I made it in to inter schools swimming sports. It is at Raureka school pool. Their pool is so deep like no one can not touch the bottom. Only if you swim down and touch it. I am so happy and proud for my self.
